Subscription Guide

From Member Area Menu, select “Register & Subscribe” wherein 

Subscription Plans for CSI Members

– Academic Institutions
– IT & ITES Corporates
– IT User Organisation
– Individual Members
– Student members

are listed in the above order. Select a decided PLAN from the schemes, before proceeding to Register and Subscribe, MAKE PAYMENT.

TO MAKE PAYMENT – Two Options are

Option 1: BEFORE Registering and Subscribing, you please remit using ‘Bank Transfer’ to the following bank account

After effecting payment, save your remittance details required while you Register and Subscribe.

Option 2: Optionally, obtain a Bank DD or draw a Cheque favouring CSI PUBLICATIONS payable at Chennai. And send by speedpost or courier or registered post with a cover letter clearly indicating your “Mailing Address” to reach

Please note without the complete remittance details, your Subscription shall not be activated until the Bank remittance / DD / Cheque received into our Bank Account.

Registering and Subscribing Process, as of now

Institutions/Organisations:

Step 1
Go to Member Area > Click on Register and Subscribe > 4 plans for Academic Institutions, 4 plans for IT organisations and 1 plan for IT User organisations are shown. Each scheme has one plan highlighted by default. Select/Click a PLAN of your choice; ensure that gets highlighted and then Click on NEXT button – fill all required data in the form including bank transfer/DD/Cheque payment and Submit (Write down your username, email ID and password you used). Successful submit shows “Thank You” page. After verifying payment receipt, CSIP admin will activate membership plan; will send Subscription Confirmation Email to the subscribed person/admin’s mail ID with information (1) subscribed plan details, (2) Coupon Code (3) plan-wise additional group members limit 9/29/59/49 and (4) specific plan register URL for registering group members as per concurrent user plan (10/30/60/UL).

Step 2
Adding Group members of Institutions / Organisations
: Institution / Organisation selected group members (on getting to know the group member register URL and coupon code) each go to the given URL -> fill all required data in the form, enter & apply the Coupon Code (should see applied successfully) and submit the form. Successful submission show “Thank You” page. Immediately an Email is sent to user-ID confirming member Activation. All activated members, include 1st User-Admin, can login with their credentials -> CSIP paid member page shown. Click on link to Springer Journal CSI Transactions on ICT.

Institutions / Organisations subscribe to Unlimited Plans: Follow Step 1 above. Unlimited Plan offers unlimited users access from the Static IP Numbers of their institution/organisation. After getting Subscription Confirmation Email, the 1st subscribed person/Admin should intimate their STATIC IP number/s and the USER-ID (first used to Subscribe) to CSIP Admin mail ID subscriptions@csipublications.com. The CSIP Admin will add and enable the IP numbers specific to User ID at the back-end and send Email reply to confirm. From thereon ‘IP based Usage’ is No Login OR Logout! Users in the offices just enter the https://csipublications.com URL from their laptop/pc. Paid Member page (landing) show the link to Springer Journal CSI Transactions on ICT. When done close the browser.

Additionally, 50 (1st User-Admin + 49) users in the institution / organisation get activated (follow step 2 above) can concurrently login with everyone’s credentials from anywhere outside of the activated IP numbers. Note: These 50 group members cannot be registered from loptop/pc work in activated IP number/s. Register outside of IP numbers.

Individual/Student CSI members: Go to Member Area > Click on Register & Subscribe > Find Individual CSI member and Student CSI member Subscription Plans shown. Select your plan to get highlighted and Click on Next button – fill all required data in the form and Submit (Write down your username, email ID and password you used). Successful submit shows Thank You page. After verifying payment receipt, CSIP admin will activate membership plan; will send Subscription Confirmation Email. Activated individual/student members Login with your credentials -> CSIP paid member page shown. Click on link to Springer Journal CSI Transactions on ICT.

 

HINTS for Member Area Menu

Unregistered / First time Visitor to CSIP website

  1. Can read content in pages from main menu
  2. Go to Member Area, on top right
  3. Can ‘Register & Subscribe’
  4. Cannot ‘Login’ without credentials
  5. Logout and ‘Edit Profile’ are hidden
  6. ‘Change Password’ not relevant for unregistered users. If clicked ‘Login’ Opens   
  7. ‘Forgot Password’ is for registered activated users.

Activated user not logged in

  1. Can ‘Login’
  2. Forgot password? click ‘Forgot Password’, follow screen to complete
  3. Can ‘Change Password’ only if logged-in else on click ‘Login’ window opens
  4. Inst./Org. subscribed with payment for “unlimited plan” submit/send their Static IP number/s to CSIP Admin.
    IP based users visit CSI Publications website. No LOGIN for them. Restricted page appear.
    Click Read Journal; redirects to SPRINGER. To Exit Website No LOGOUT; just close the browser.

Logged in Users

  1. Activated Users Logged in! Restricted page opens. Click on link to Springer Journal CSI Transactions on ICT.
  2. Cannot Login – if clicked message is ‘you are already logged in’
  3. Can ‘Edit Profile’ – when done, it prompts “Your Profile has been updated successfully”; and remain in the page; that is built-in feature. Switch to any other menu / page
  4. Can ‘Change Password’
  5. Can ‘Logout’ – On Logout ‘Home Page’ appear. ‘Logout’ Menu disappear in Member Area

Note for inst/org. Concurrent users: Can login from desktop/laptop/tablet/mobile. Cannot Concurrently login with same credentials and this feature limits allowed users at a time. Note: There is no concurrent limit for IP based users.
